Service Overview

Ophir provides its CLIENTS with economical, fix and first-class transportation solutions. Our wide experience and association have built us a framework to exclusively work with the world’s leading high security transportation and logistics companies. Our forwarding agents practice and comply with laws of export and import countries, and any “Due Diligence Guidance for Responsible Supply Chains of Minerals from Conflict Affected and High Risk Areas" standards.

Our Clients are privilege to benefit from our strategic methods in securing global contracts with standard transportation companies ensuring the best terms and conditions. We are organized to arrange transportation from practically any requested described location with shipping to OPHIR, and vice versa, with all undertaken in our name or on behalf of our Client. All transportation is fully insured. Any loss of insured metal will be paid out in cash. We are able to arrange storage facilities for our Clients in multiple countries at their final delivery destination.

Process

Upon confirmation of receipt of our Client request for shipping. We evaluate the rates, tender the request and submit our best offer to the Client.

Depending on the agreement with our Client, the Client or Ophir on his behalf will decide which transportation offer will be accepted.

Transportation terms and conditions are confirmed to our Client, including all details such as:

  • Ground transporter used
  • Any local agent we may appoint on our behalf depending on the country or the network of transportation agents we work with
  • Cost structure for predetermined weight ranges
  • Destination description and the Incoterms (i.e. door-to-door).
  • Insurance coverage
  • Fuel charges (included or excluded)
  • Possible customs, import-export charges (included or excluded)
  • Validity of the offer

Process
Ophir provides offers from 3/4 forwarding agents. Base on agreed terms and conditions, Ophir, or the Mine will choose the most appropriate and suitable forwarding agent. On request the transportation contract will be an integral part of the refining agreement between Ophir and the Mine.

Once Ophir arranges the pick-up on behalf of the Client, the following shipping advice and information are required from the Mine:

  • Number of packages or boxes
  • Gross weight of packaging, bags and bars
  • Number of bags and bars
  • Total net weight of each bar
  • Total estimated gold content of shipment in ounces
  • Estimated silver content of shipment in ounces
  • Other information relating to the shipment as Golden Ophir may reasonably request
  • Name of the Client’s representative at the weighing, melting and sampling procedures if one is designated
  • Arrival of the shipment at Golden Ophir

Ophir will confirm to its Client through the forwarding agent that the goods have been delivered to and received by Ophir

Ophir will pack the goods in accordance with international standards and will submit following details:

  • Number of packages or boxes
  • Gross weight of packaging and pieces
  • Number of pieces
  • Total net weight
  • Net weight of each piece
  • Other information relating to the shipment as the Bank may reasonably request


Golden Ophir will send to the Client a copy of all the documents issued for the delivery to the forwarding agent.
